About

Combining organic sounds and warmth-driven energy in tropical house and deep house, Sam Macdonald, better known as Samuriium is a producer, songwriter and pianist from Bury St Edmunds. Samuriium’s use of organic instruments, catchy plucks and vibrant melodies, creates an intimate and relaxing vibe that you can either party or lie on the beach to. Similar artists you could compare Samuriium to are Kygo, Zedd and Mauve.

His latest collaboration with Georgia Michel, Counting Days, explores the mentality of being stuck indoors during lockdown and reminiscing the ‘good old days’ before COVID-19. Since releasing his new song, Sam is now investing his time and creativity into the deep house genre, combining meaningful vocals, warm guitars and percussive elements to develop a sunset-vibe tune during these wintery times.

Born and raised in East Anglia, Sam studies music production at Leeds Conservatoire. Alongside his degree, Sam has been collaborating with a wide variety of producers and artists and looking to expand his catalogue of tropical house and branch out into new genres and sounds. His next big project, a tropical house concept EP is currently in the works and hoping for release in 2021.
